Photography Workshop with Carmen Ordoñez

Join photographer Carmen Ordoñez for an introduction to documentary photography through her ongoing project documenting Chicago’s lowrider scene. Carmen will share how curiosity, connection, and consistency helped shape a long-term photography project, and offer practical tips for starting one of your own. Participants will learn approaches to making meaningful images, building trust with their subjects, and developing a body of work over time. The workshop will also include a look at handmade photobooks and a conversation about turning photography projects into zines, exhibitions, and publications.
