PeliCuir y Pruebas de ETS: My Queerceañera (2023) / Reel Queer STI & Film Screening (Latine Heritage Month Edition): My Queerceañera (2023)

On Tuesday evening, September 22, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM (doors at 5:30, film at 6), the Little Village Branch hosts a screening of *My Queerceañera*, a 16-minute Spanish-language short about a transgender immigrant who, on turning 50, sets out to throw herself the quinceañera she never had. Project VIDA will be on-site offering free STI testing in a private room, harm reduction supplies, and LGBTQIA+ and HIV+ resource information; attendees can also decorate a crown-shaped shrinky dink charm. This is the Latine Heritage Month edition of Reel Queer, the library's monthly LGBTQIA+ film series. Masks strongly encouraged; registration is active.
