Operation Space Station: Science and Survival is a documentary screening that drops viewers into the high-stakes reality of life on the International Space Station, where astronauts and Mission Control face split-second decisions 250 miles above Earth. The hour-long film, not rated, screens on Thursday, November 19, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at the Jeffery Manor branch in South Deering. English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing will be available. The screening is part of the 2026 One Book, One Chicago season, which explores Samantha Harvey’s Orbital, and registration is required.
