One Book One Chicago Book Discussion: Orbital

One Book, One Chicago returns this year with Samantha Harvey’s *Orbital*, a novel that compresses the lives of six astronauts from five countries into a single day aboard a soon-to-be-decommissioned space station. The Chicago Lawn branch hosts the discussion on Tuesday, December 15, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. The book’s intimate view of Earth from orbit — sixteen sunrises and sunsets in one shift — gives a book club plenty to unpack about isolation, perspective, and what we leave behind. Accessibility accommodations are available with two weeks’ notice.
