Nuestros Archivos de Chicago: Escanea Fotos de Quinceañera / Nuestro Chicago Archives: Quinceañera Photo Scanning Event

Nuestro Chicago Archives hosts a Quinceañera photo scanning event at the Little Village Branch on Sunday, August 2, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Bring historical family photos taken within Chicago city limits before 2008 that document Latine life — they'll be scanned for inclusion in the digital archive, with select images chosen for a Quinceañera exhibit on display at the branch during Latine Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15). The archive, established in 2024, aims to preserve Chicago's Latine communities through family photographs, responding to patterns of displacement and gentrification. Masks are strongly encouraged.
