Come join us in Nature Club for an insect pinning workshop with the Insect Asylum Museum! This week we explore Entymology and the art of insect preservation by learning how to pin cicadas from animal science and taxidermy specialists from The Insect Asylum Museum.

Learn about the important role of insects in our ecosystem
Get hands on experience pinning a cicada
Take home your own preserved cicada specimen!

For kids 6 to 13 and their guardians. Please note this workshop takes the full hour and a guardian is recommended to aid any child attendees during the workshop.

Registration is required due to limited supplies.

How to Attend
Register by noon Thursday, July 23. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL.
