Monday Matinee: The Boy in the Striped Pajamas (2008)

The Edgewater branch of the Chicago Public Library screens *The Boy in the Striped Pajamas* (2008, PG-13, 93 minutes) on Monday afternoon, October 5, at 2:00 PM as part of Polish American Heritage Month. John Boyne's novel becomes a film about a Nazi commandant's son who befriends a boy in a concentration camp, told through the limited perspective of an 8-year-old. English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing are provided. Registration is recommended but not required.
