Monday Matinee: McFarland, USA (2015)

A free Monday-afternoon screening of *McFarland, USA* (2015) at the Edgewater branch of the Chicago Public Library, part of the library's Latine Heritage Month programming. The Kevin Costner drama, rated PG and running 129 minutes, tells the true story of a cross-country team from an economically challenged Central Valley town and the coach who helps them build something bigger than a winning season. English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing will be available. The film begins at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 28; registration is recommended but not required.
