Mobile Makers: Material Afterlives is the August 29 installment of the Chicago 2050 Conversation Series, a summer-long set of talks at the Chicago Cultural Center's Welcome Center. This Saturday session features Liú M.Z.H. Chen on material culture and placemaking, running from noon to 2 PM. The series continues on September 19 with Amanda Williams on archival materials; earlier talks in June and July covered material afterlives and communal freedom. Free and open to the public.
