Meet Calvin B. Jones: Make a Mini-Mural

On Tuesday evening, October 20, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, Sulzer Regional Library hosts a family workshop centered on Calvin B. Jones, a muralist active in the Black Arts Movement and influenced by Chicago’s AfriCOBRA collective. Participants learn about Jones’s work and the question of whose murals get preserved, then create a mini-mural using bold colors and African print designs. The program is designed for all ages and part of the library’s Renaissance Project exploring Black history and heritage. Registration is required.
