Meet Calvin B. Jones: Make a Mini-Mural

On Monday, September 28, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, the Little Italy branch of the Chicago Public Library hosts a hands-on family program exploring the life and work of muralist Calvin B. Jones, who was active in the Black Arts Movement and influenced by Chicago's AfriCOBRA collective. Participants learn about Jones’s bold "Cool-Ade" color palette and African print designs, then create a mini-mural while considering whose public art gets preserved. Part of the Renaissance Project series, this free workshop is designed for all ages and requires registration.
