Meet Calvin B. Jones: Make a Mini-Mural
The artist Calvin B. Jones, whose murals appeared across Chicago’s South and West sides during the late 1970s and 1980s, is the focus of this hands-on family program at the Little Village branch. Participants learn about Jones’s work and his connection to the AfriCOBRA collective, then make a mini-mural using his signature bold colors and African print designs. The session, which also asks whose murals get saved and why, runs Thursday, September 24, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. Registration is required.
