Medicare 101

A Medicare basics workshop led by Norwood Park resident and Medicare Teacher Nancy De Lira, held at the Mount Greenwood branch on Saturday, November 21, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The session is designed for people approaching 65, current beneficiaries who want to understand their options, and those helping older relatives navigate the system. Attendees will learn the differences between Medicare parts and plans, compare Advantage and Supplement coverage, and get a breakdown of Part D and recent changes from the Inflation Reduction Act. The Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 to December 7, making this a timely primer.
