Medicare 101
A practical primer on Medicare basics, led by certified Medicare teacher and Norwood Park resident Nancy De Lira at the Roden library on Tuesday, September 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. The session covers the difference between Medicare parts and plans, how to compare Advantage and Supplement options, the basics of Part D prescription drug coverage, and how the Inflation Reduction Act affects plans starting in 2025. It is designed for people approaching 65, those already on Medicare who feel unclear about their choices, and anyone helping senior parents navigate enrollment. The Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 through December 7, so this is a timely primer.
