Marshallese Storytelling in the Classroom

A full-day professional development workshop at the Field Museum for educators looking to bring Marshallese history and culture into their teaching. The program centers on the museum's refreshed Marshall Islands exhibit and new classroom resources, using UCLA’s *Foundations and Futures* multimedia textbook to examine the U.S.–Marshall Islands relationship, the legacy of nuclear testing, and the growing Marshallese community in the Midwest. Attendees will tour the newly unveiled exhibition, screen the documentary *67 Bombs to Enid*, and join a panel discussion with the film's director and Marshallese cultural experts. The session runs Tuesday, December 15, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM; tickets are required.
