Many Voices, One Heart at Ping Tom

Many Voices, One Heart brings together several of Chicago's leading Asian performing arts organizations for a single afternoon of cross-cultural music at Ping Tom Memorial Park on Saturday, August 22, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Indonesian gamelan, Cambodian traditional music, Japanese taiko drumming, and a string quartet converge in a program designed to highlight both the distinct sounds and the creative intersections among Southeast and East Asian traditions. The family-friendly presentation is led by Friends of the Gamelan and marks the first time these ensembles have shared a Night Out in the Parks stage. Free, no tickets required.
