Library Explorers Club: Walker Branch

Library Explorers Club is a new monthly program that visits a different Chicago Public Library branch each time — part group walk or run, part branch tour, part quiet reading hour. On Saturday, January 9, the group meets at the Walker branch in Morgan Park. The afternoon starts at 1:30 PM with an optional run (roughly 12-minute miles) or walk (20–25-minute miles) with Read & Run Chicago, followed by a staff-led tour of the branch at 2 PM, then library card sign-ups and reading with light snacks from 2:30 to 4 PM. You can drop in for any portion, and the vibe is deliberately low-pressure — no one checks your fitness level or reading history. Registration is requested.
