Letters to America
Letters to America
is a citywide initiative commemorating the 250th anniversary of the
United States by creating space for civic reflection and storytelling.
Chicago
Public Library invites residents to write personal letters to America -
sharing reflections, critiques, hopes, and stories rooted in Chicago
experiences.
We'll explore examples of letters from CPL's archives and experience the project firsthand with time to write your own Letter to America. All letters must be accompanied by a Deed of Gift and we can only accept letters from people 18 and older.
