Letters to America Read-Aloud Celebration

Letters to America is a civic writing project and public read-aloud gathering at Budlong Woods Library, co-hosted with the Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society. On Saturday, August 22, from 2 to 4 PM, attendees are invited to bring a letter reflecting on life in Chicago and how their personal experiences connect to a broader American story. Authors who are 18 or older may donate their letters to the Chicago Public Library’s permanent historical archives. Registration is required and available online, by phone, or in person at the Budlong Woods branch.
