Learn to Wire Wrap a Pendant With Kirin
Learn wire wrapping — the technique of turning stones, gems, and keepsakes into wearable pendants and charms — in a workshop led by artist Kirin Kane. Kane, a mixed-media sculptor who teaches at Moraine Valley Community College, will walk participants through tool selection, stone choice, and the process of setting a stone with pliers. The workshop takes place Wednesday afternoon, December 16, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at the Kelly branch in Englewood. After the basics, the same method can be applied to small toys, mementos, or other collectibles. Accessibility accommodations are available with 14 business days' notice.
