Learn to Lead Climb at Steelworkers

A lead climbing clinic at Steelworkers Park for intermediate climbers ready to move beyond top rope. Over four hours on Wednesday, August 5, from 2 to 6 PM, participants learn the essentials of sport lead climbing and lead belaying — proper use and placement of quick draws, effective belaying technique, and how to clean a route. The class is for climbers comfortable at 5.8 or higher who already top-rope belay confidently. Registration is required. For ages 16 and up.
