Learn Chess Basics for Adults

A chess primer for adults who never quite learned the game or want a proper refresher. Over two hours on Saturday, November 21, from 2 to 4 PM, an instructor at Whitney M. Young, Jr. Library walks through board setup, how each piece moves and captures, and the point value of each piece. Registration is required through the library's system. The venue requests at least 14 business days' notice for sign language interpretation or other accessibility accommodations.
