A straightforward chess primer for adults who have never quite learned the game or want a refresher on the fundamentals. The session at Whitney M. Young, Jr. on Friday, October 30, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM covers board setup, piece names, how each piece moves and captures, and the point values that govern strategy. Registration is required.
