A bilingual lecture and music listening session that uses Latine and Latin American music as a lens for understanding history, identity, and community in Illinois and the U.S. Dr. Catalina Maria Johnson, host of the public radio program *Beat Latino*, leads a multimedia conversation on Thursday, July 30, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at Little Village, weaving together slides, music samples, and discussion around themes of daily life, protest, and celebration. The program is funded by Illinois Humanities and presented in Spanish and English.
