Junior Chamber Ensemble Plays Repertoire at Marquette

The Marquette Park Junior Chamber Ensemble, the youngest musicians in the Marquette Park Music Program, presents a free concert tracing how jazz compositions become standard repertoire, with a set dedicated to the work of J Dilla. The ensemble, featuring players on trumpet, saxophone, trombone, piano, bass, and drums, performs on Thursday evening, August 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Marquette (Jacques) Park. A solid opportunity to hear young Chicago musicians working through material that matters to their development as versatile players.
