Jazz Institute of Chicago presents: Lost in Space with Kevin King

Chicago woodwindist Kevin King brings his "Lost in Space" series to Budlong Woods on Saturday, October 3, from 11 AM to noon. The concert features original compositions exploring astronomy and the idea of space, drawing inspiration from Wayne Shorter, John Coltrane, and King's own experience as a Jazz Institute of Chicago alum. King has performed with artists from Arturo Sandoval to the Temptations and Buddy Guy; this short set is part of a limited citywide series tied to the 2026 One Book, One Chicago season. Registration is required. Sign language interpretation is available with two weeks' notice.
