ISAC Short Class: Scarabs and Sealings in Nubia
A four-week short class exploring the role of scarabs in Nubia, from the Middle Kingdom through the Napatan period, with each week focusing on a specific archaeological site. Instructor Tasha Vorderstrasse leads the pre-recorded sessions, which drop every Sunday morning at 10:00 AM from August 30 through September 20. The class examines how scarabs functioned beyond their familiar Egyptian context, using sites like Buhen, Kerma, Qustul, and Sanam as case studies.
