ISAC Museum After Hours Community Event

The Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures opens its galleries for an after-hours evening tied to the museum's special exhibition on ancient Nubia, with a focus on Sudanese heritage. On Saturday, August 8, from 4 to 7 PM, docents will be on hand to discuss the collection, and a short documentary profiles three contemporary Sudanese artists whose work is displayed alongside ancient Nubian artifacts. The evening moves outdoors for music, dancing, and traditional Sudanese refreshments. Tickets are $15; 60% of proceeds go to the Sudanese American Physicians Association and 20% to the American Sudanese Archaeological Research Center.
