Intro to Tandem Kayaking at Northerly Island

Learn the basics of tandem (2-person) kayaking and explore the beautiful Northerly Island Park Lagoon, with its prairie and wetland wildlife, and skyline views.Whether it's your first time in a kayak or you're an experienced paddler, everyone 8+ are welcome! Be sure to dress to be on the water. Wear comfortable clothing that is easy to dry and remember to bring water and sunscreen. Swimsuits are welcome. All equipment is included in your registration fee. Basic instruction will be provided. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes before the program start time. Youth under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.To ensure you and another registered person will share the same tandem kayak, please use the "team" function and select your 2-person team. If you would prefer to kayak solo, please register for "Intro to Solo Kayaking at Northerly Island."
