Ikebana for All at Lincoln
A hands-on workshop in the Japanese art of flower arranging, led by Margot Wang, president of the Ohara School of Ikebana's Chicago chapter. The session on Saturday, September 26, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at the Lincoln Park Cultural Center begins with a PowerPoint overview of ikebana's 500-year history, followed by a guided arrangement. Participants receive individual critique from Sensei Wang and take their finished piece home. A practical entry point for anyone curious about an art form that treats each arrangement as a small universe reflecting nature and the season.
