Fiber artist Anita Piotrowski leads a beginner-level workshop on art quilting at the Beverly Branch on Thursday, August 6, from 1 to 3 PM. The session covers essential quilting techniques with a decorative, artistic focus, and each participant completes a small quilt — all supplies provided. Piotrowski, a self-taught Chicago native who turned to full-time textile art after retiring from a 46-year insurance career, brings a perspective shaped by her Mexican and Puerto Rican heritage. Registration is required; space is limited.
