Hope Cometh: Breast Cancer Awareness Month Education

Dr. Funmi Apantaku Onayemi, a researcher, community health leader, and breast cancer survivor with more than three decades of experience, presents an evidence-based overview of breast cancer on Tuesday, October 13, from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. The talk focuses on dispelling common misconceptions and replacing fear with current data on detection, treatment, and survivorship. Her career includes recruiting 12,000 Black women for a landmark cultural-beliefs study and serving as Midwest Regional Director for the National Cancer Institute’s National Black Leadership Initiative on Cancer.
