Film Screening: Hidden Figures (2016)

A screening of *Hidden Figures* (2016, rated PG, 127 minutes) at the Back of the Yards branch on Friday, September 11 from 10 AM to noon. The film follows three African-American mathematicians whose calculations were critical to NASA’s early space missions, set against the workplace racism and sexism of the 1960s. English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing will be available. Part of the library’s Community Cinema series, which ties into the 2026 One Book, One Chicago season.
