A panel and showcase featuring five Filipino-American creatives working in music, film, literature, food, and fashion, presented by the Philippine Consulate General, the Filipino American Historical Society of Chicago, and the Chicago Public Library. On Saturday, October 24, from 1 to 3 PM at Albany Park, guests will hear from performers like Lou Ella Cabalona of SamaSama Project, filmmaker Cindy Martin, author Zee Lacson, chef Roland Floro Calupe, and fashion designer Edrei Alaban. The afternoon includes a live performance, short film screening, book reading, food tasting, and a fashion presentation — a concentrated look at how Filipino-American artists are shaping Chicago’s cultural scene right now.
