Filipino American History Month Introduction to Bookbinding
Visual artist Regin Igloria, who has led Community Binding workshops around Chicago since 2010, brings his bookbinding skills session to North Pulaski for Filipino American History Month. Over two hours on Tuesday evening, October 6, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, participants build a Filipino-themed mini-book using techniques that include hand-sewn pamphlets and zines. Igloria provides prompts for content and shares instructional handouts and samples, so attendees leave with both a finished piece and resources to continue bookbinding on their own. The workshop is open to ages and skill levels; registration is required, and accessibility accommodations must be requested by September 18.
