Englewood Jazz Festival at Hamilton

The 27th annual Englewood Jazz Festival opens Friday evening, September 18, at Hamilton Park with a program that leans into original compositions and generational lineage. Presented by Live the Spirit Residency, this year's festival — running across three days — honors the centennials of Oscar Brown Jr., John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Sonny Rollins while showcasing current creative musicians. Friday's 5:30 to 7:30 PM set brings saxophonist Ernest Dawkins' New Horizons Redux and bassist Jeremiah Hunt to the stage. The full festival runs September 17–19.
