Emily Kuhn Quintet at Dooley

Emily Kuhn’s quintet brings a set of new material to Dooley Park on Monday evening, August 31, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. The group — Kuhn on trumpet and flugelhorn, Meghan Stagl on piano and voice, Erik Skov on guitar, Kitt Lyles on bass, and Gustavo Cortiñas on drums — is celebrating the release of “Feathered Things,” an album that threads images of snow, fire, and flight into a meditation on hope and resilience. They’ve played festivals from Champaign-Urbana to Stanford and the Festival of New Trumpet Music; this is a rare chance to hear them outdoors in Ashburn.
