Emily Kuhn Quintet at Dooley

The Emily Kuhn Quintet brings a set of original, forward-moving jazz to Dooley Park on Monday evening, July 27, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Kuhn (trumpet and flugelhorn) leads a quintet of Chicago improvisers, including pianist Meghan Stagl and guitarist Erik Skov, celebrating the release of their new album *Feathered Things*. The music explores hope and resilience through imagery of snow, fire, and flight — a thoughtful, live follow-up to their 2023 debut, *Ghosts of Us*, which has taken them to festivals in Stanford, Champaign-Urbana, and beyond.
