Documentary Club: Against the Current with Filmmakers Joshua Jackson and Asif Wilson

Documentary Club screens "Against the Current" with codirectors Joshua Jackson and Asif Wilson in attendance for a post-film discussion. The documentary follows Chicago organizer Kyla as she travels Illinois to document Black resistance across time and place, finding that communities everywhere have developed their own ways to push back against oppressive currents. The Saturday, October 10 screening runs from 2:00 to 4:30 PM at the North Austin branch. English subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing are provided. Registration is open now.
