Cuatro Mujeres: Nina Simone’s Four Women at Hamilton

Cuatro Mujeres continues Old Town School of Folk Music's four-part summer series inspired by Nina Simone's "Four Women," bringing one installment each to a different South or West Side park. This 60-minute performance at Hamilton Park on Thursday, August 20, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM centers on Simone's Aunt Sarah, placing her in dialogue with Yemayá, a feminine Orisha from the Afro-Cuban Lucumí tradition. The Windy City Ramblers and Azania Drum provide the music, with choreography by Zenzile Fatou. Free and open to the public.
