CPL at Printers Row: Two Paths, Many Stories: Illinois Poet Laureate Mark Turcotte and Chicago Poet Laureate Mayda Del Valle

A conversation between the Illinois and Chicago Poet Laureates, Mark Turcotte and Mayda Del Valle, moderated by Adrian Matejka, editor of *Poetry* magazine. Both poets bring substantial performance credentials: Del Valle is a former National Poetry Slam champion and original cast member of the Tony-winning *Def Poetry Jam* on Broadway; Turcotte (Turtle Mountain Ojibwe) is Distinguished Writer-in-Residence at DePaul. The session runs 1:30 to 2:15 PM on Saturday, September 12, at the Joseph & Bessie Feinberg Foundation Stage during Printers Row Lit Fest. Free and open to the public.
