Cook by the Book Discussion: Farmers Market Edition

Cook by the Book takes a seasonal turn this August: participants cook or bake a dish using ingredients from a farmers market, then bring their experience — successes, failures, and flavor notes — to a group discussion at the Edgebrook branch on Saturday, August 8, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM. After talking shop, the group walks over to the North Branch Farmers Market at 6525 N. Hiawatha Ave. to see what's in season. Free and open to anyone who likes browsing cookbooks and experimenting with fresh produce.
