CIERA Dearborn Observatory Night

CIERA’s Dearborn Observatory Night pairs the history of Northwestern’s 19th-century telescope with a chance to look through it yourself, weather permitting. The Friday evening program runs from 8:00 to 9:00 PM, and afterward, attendees can head upstairs for Astronomer Evenings — a brief science talk and Q&A with a CIERA scientist. Space is limited, so registration is required, and those with tickets should arrive by 7:45 PM to guarantee admission. The event is part of the 2026 One Book, One Chicago season, tied to Samantha Harvey’s *Orbital*. Accessibility accommodations are available by request, at least 14 business days in advance.
