Learn the basics of choosing native plants for your home garden in this beginner-friendly workshop. Participants will explore what makes a plant native, why native species are important for local ecosystems, and which plants thrive best in our region. We will discuss planting conditions such as sun, shade, and soil needs, along with proper watering and seasonal care. Native plants support birds, butterflies, bees, and other pollinators while creating beautiful, low-maintenance landscapes. This session is perfect for anyone interested in gardening, conservation, or creating a more sustainable yard. No prior gardening experience is needed.
