Chicago Poet Laureate Mayda del Valle: eL Cien Poetry Workshop

Chicago Poet Laureate Mayda del Valle leads a workshop at Manning on Sunday afternoon, October 11, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, teaching participants to craft an “eL Cien” — a 100-word poem built from five couplets with ten words per line, capturing a place through its sights, sounds, and sensations, with the phrase “I am” placed in the first or last couplet.
