Chess Workshop for Kids

Meet Zach, our Chess Champion and strategy coach! Whether you're learning how the pieces move or looking to improve your tournament skills, Zach is excited to share winning strategies, tactical secrets and the fun of chess with players ages 8 to 13 at all skill levels .


Zach has been playing chess since he was 4 years old and has developed a passion for strategy, competition, and teaching others. With a US Chess rating of 1800, he has competed in tournaments throughout the United States and Poland.
For kids 8 to 13.
How to Attend
Register by the start of the event. Chicago Public Library cannot collect personal information online from kids 0 to 13. A parent or guardian’s email address must be used to register. As a reminder, school email addresses may block external emails such as those from CPL.

Please include only the total number of children as attendees when you register.
