Celebrating Peruvian Independence through Arts at Dunham

The Center of Peruvian Arts brings Indigenous, Afro-Peruvian, and Amazonian music and dance to Dunham Park for an afternoon celebrating Peruvian Independence. Each 90-minute segment combines live performance with explanation of the dances' cultural significance, followed by a 45-minute participatory workshop open to all ages and abilities. Cultural storytelling and authentic Peruvian food are part of the afternoon. It runs Saturday, August 22, from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
