Celebrate National Friends of Libraries Week!

Friends of the Edgewater Library hosts an open house on Saturday, October 24, from noon to 2 PM, celebrating the rededication of the Early Learners' Literacy Nest — a newly refurbished children's area. The afternoon includes a children's storytime and craft, plus a chance for adults to share an Edgewater Story in the Betty A. Barclay Community Room at 12:30 PM. Free books are available while supplies last, courtesy of Women & Children First bookstore, and light refreshments are served. It's a low-key way to learn about the Friends group and see the library's updated space.
