Bugapalooza

Bugapalooza takes place Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum. Guests meet native insects and spiders in the Bug Zoo, use the BugScope with entomologists, and watch insect pinning demonstrations. Scientists from the University of Illinois share their insect-inspired engineering discoveries, while younger visitors try the Bugstacle Course and net insects in the prairie and pond. Ticket price of $25–$35 includes museum admission and the Judy Istock Butterfly Haven.
