Blue on the Bayou at Columbus Refectory

A Mardi Gras celebration for seniors 60 and up, held at Columbus Refectory in Austin on Friday, August 21, from 11 AM to 3 PM. The afternoon features a live blues band and a DJ spinning classic Chicago and Delta blues from artists like Buddy Guy, B.B. King, and Muddy Waters. Attendees can bring their own decorated Mardi Gras umbrellas for a parade and contest, with prizes and a promenade to show off your style. Food and dancing round out the program. Participation is reserved for seniors from Central Area 2 parks.
